David has dedicated his life to fitness. A former collegiate runner, David shifted his training focus to the HIIT and immediately moved up the world rankings in the sport of competitive Obstacle Racing and later, in Hybrid Fitness Racing. He is the reigning Hyrox North American Champion.

Through HIIT David got stronger, leaner, faster and more explosive. He is a founding member of the Reebok Spartan Race Pro Team, the author of “The Essentials of Obstacle Race Training” and the host of Spartan Race on NBC Sports, ESPN, Facebook Watch and YouTube. He is a regular guest as a subject matter expert on various fitness podcasts including “The Running Public” and “Reinforced Running.”

David has mastered the Hybrid Training method, running a 2:37 Marathon, finishing 5th at the Hyrox World Championships and finishing 13th Place at the JFK 50 Mile all in the span of a year. A force in Hybrid fitness racing, in 2023, he became the Hyrox North American Champion. Hyrox is considered the toughest fitness race on the planet.

David has finished in the Top 5 of World Championship Fitness Races on six separate occasions, including 3rd Place at the Deka Mile World Championship and First Place at the DekaFit Doubles World Championship, an event he holds the World Record in, paired with fellow Elevate athlete, Mark Gaudet. Through David’s training methods, an athlete can be ready for ANY event they desire with just a few months of specialization.

He has coached athletes to countless PRs, victories across various disciplines, and even a 24 Hour World Championship.

​David understands the Washington, DC community. A former management consultant, David shifted his focus back to fitness in 2014 and never looked back. He holds certifications from the American Council on Exercise and Spartan Group Exercise. When he isn’t working, you can find David standing on the podium of various races throughout North America and around the world.
